A Quick Colorado Trip

Here are some of the photos from our recent trip to Colorado.  Thanks to Jess for sharing these with me!

Little "Bubba" actually gave me a kick when this pic was taken!
Oh, and doesn't Jess look fabulous?  She makes me miss being pregnant.

Love this one!

All three girls: me, Ruby, and Jess.  Ruby was not into posing for photos at the time, but we couldn't resist.  Besides, we were all wearing stripes....a photo session just had to happen.

Later, all the Hampostles, complete with baby and baby-to-be:

This was just the four of us on the night of Jess' birthday.  We had a scrumptious meal at Chimney Park restaurant.  It was the first time we've had a couples' date without Ruby.  Although we love the little peanut dearly, it was fun to have a grownups-only dinner event.  At Chimney Park, I tried foie gras for the first time (my take: delicious if you imagine it is a butter; disturbing if you think of it a meat) and ordered the bison steak for my entree.  Delish!

For another birthday treat, the girls had some time downtown for facials and shopping....

...while the boys got some golf time in.

During our visit, the weather was absolutely gorgeous - sunny and 70s.  It was a nice change of pace from the 40-degree, rainy weather of the pacific northwest.  The HamFam needed some sun!

While Jess and I were walking in the glorious sunshine, I noticed how fun our shadows looked; hers with her cute, pregnant belly, and me with Ruby attached.

Of course, no visit to Colorado is complete without spending time with my favorite rottie, Sarge!

Ruby got some gifts from her uncle Mike and aunt Jess.  She really enjoyed the "Lucy mouse" Jess gifted her by chomping on her nose.

And lastly, Jess made sure to get a pic of the Hammer family.

Thanks for the great visit, Mike and Jess.  We love you!
