Meet Harley, our house guest this week.
He's staying with us while his family is off on a skiing vacation. He's adapted well to his temporary home. The IGs immediately showed him that the chair is the place to be.
He's certainly a people dog. He always wants to be around us (just like Sadie and Gunnar) and loves a good bellyrub or playing with his rope toy. Of course, like most dogs, he loves a good bellyrub or head scratch. Plus, he gives you that I'm-really-cute-and-friendly-so-pat-me look, which is irresistible.
A couple of nights ago, Harley wormed his way onto the bed at night (granted our dogs already sleep IN the bed, but still, I don't think this is his normal routine with his family). We're okay with it....even if he does snore.
Every morning he lets me know that there are gigantic crows in the backyard with his barking. Thankfully, that usually scares them off and they fly off to consume the neighbor's yard (and yes, that's a little bit of snow outside!).
Our dogs seem curious by this new boy and have tried to initiate play with him. He doesn't seem interested in their interpretation of WWF in our living room. He's more content chasing after his rope or going on a walk. One thing he does like is sleeping by the fire. All the dogs love this. We joke that there must be a carbon monoxide leak or something in our house because our living room often looks like this:
Oh, Harley. You're a good boy and you can stay with us whenever you want!
Love your post! We miss you Harley! See you Saturday night!
