"What is WOOOT," you may ask. WOOOT stands for Women On Our Own Time. It's our new annual retreat where the girls head somewhere (this year we went up north to Okuma*) and hang out without husbands, children, or pets. It was a blast and Okuma was beautiful. It was my first time there.
Here are the girls who participated in this year's WOOOT retreat: (R to L, top to bottom) me, Melinda, Tritia, Mary Ann, Liz, Laura, Emily, and Jennifer

Giving our WOOOT shout out:
I'm surprised that the women of WOOOT decided to take their trip during Valentine's Day weekend. Seems to me that this is the time when some husbands chose to do special things for their wives.
ReplyDeleteWith this in mind, one of two things must be true: Either the WOOOT women who attended don't hold Valentine's Day in much esteem and didn't have a problem skipping it this year (Good for you, if you felt this way). Or they felt that there is no grace and Valentine's Day celebrations (I almost put VD celebrations, but that could have meant something else...) must occur on February 14th, no sooner, no later!
Just an observation :) (Hope you had fun!)
Actually, it's a little of both. Most of the ladies had already celebrated V-day with their hubbies.
ReplyDeleteMany of the guys were left with babysitting duties while the wives were playing. However, the husbands joined the crew up north for some family camping time as well. So, the whole weekend wasn't all WOOOT. But, maybe next year....
